Born in Palau, an island country in the western Pacific Ocean, Dwight G. Alexander attended a Christian high school and a Christian college before taking on several positions in the Palau government, including: Chief Administrator of the Palau Supreme Court; Administrative Officer, Ministry of Education; Director, Bureau of Arts & Culture, Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs; and the Compact Review Office. He is an ordained deacon and youth coordinator in the Palau Evangelical Church. He is married to Ms. Clarinda S. Alexander with five children; Margarette Alexander, Talitha B. Alexander, Ja-el 'OB' Alexander, Janel D. Alexander, and Anzic Kochi Rtitong Alexander, his youngest son and the subject of the book, Miracle of the Hermit Crab.
