God Is My Help

Lessons from Lazarus and the Old Testament Eleazars on the God Who Helps

By Blynn Stewart

Where do you turn when life leaves you with nowhere else to go?

When your strength fails, your prayers seem unanswered, or the circumstances before you appear impossible, where can you find the help you desperately need?

The answer is woven throughout Scripture—and it is found in the remarkable meaning of two biblical names: Lazarus and Eleazar. Both mean "God has helped."

From the mighty warrior Eleazar, who stood his ground when others fled, to Lazarus, the man Jesus called out of the grave, these biblical accounts reveal a God who helps His people in ways they may never expect.

In God Is My Help, Blynn Stewart explores timeless biblical lessons about faith, courage, perseverance, grace, obedience, and the sovereignty of God. Through the stories of these remarkable men and others who encountered God's power, readers are encouraged to look beyond their circumstances and discover the One who remains faithful through them all.

This thought-provoking Christian book explores some of life's most challenging questions:

• Why does God sometimes seem to delay His answer?
• How can His wrath and justice coexist with His mercy and grace?
• What can we learn from the failures of even the most faithful servants?
• How do we remain focused on Christ when doubts, distractions, and discouragement threaten to pull us away?

Rich in biblical insight, practical illustrations, and thought-provoking study questions, God Is My Help offers encouragement for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of God's faithfulness and a stronger faith in difficult times.

When you cry out, "God help me," remember: He is not merely able to help. He is your help.
